# babel-plugin-esm-rewrite

Rewrites ESM syntax to function calls, so they can be evaluated without ESM context. Ported from [Vite's ssrTransfrom](https://github.com/vitejs/vite/blob/main/packages/vite/src/node/ssr/ssrTransform.ts) but as a Babel plugin.
