In Node.js, this package uses [`crypto.createHash()`](https://nodejs.org/api/crypto.html#crypto_crypto_createhash_algorithm_options). In the browser, it uses [`crypto.subtle.digest()`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SubtleCrypto/digest).
