there are no special requirements on the fpga device. in theory, you should be able to use any xilinx fpga device, provided that your fpga contains an xilinx spartan device. xilinx spartan devices are also used in the vivado (ise) and the xilinx core generator (xcgn), so this is a very well-supported device. however, if you do not already have an xilinx spartan device, you can use any other xilinx fpga device.


next, you need to download and install the latest xilinx sdk for your operating system and platform. if you are running windows 7, vista, or windows server 2008 r2, it is recommended that you download and install the windows 64-bit sdk. otherwise, it is recommended that you download and install the 32-bit sdk. the reason for this is that the 64-bit sdk is the only version that supports windows 7. 84d34552a1
