The 2013 National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report (NHQDR), funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, presents a comprehensive analysis of the quality of health care provided in the United States. The report presents results from the 2013 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), the 2013 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), and State-based surveys, and provides estimates of the variation in health care quality across U.S. regions and socioeconomic status. 


In the 2013 National Climate Assessment, released by the U.S. Global Change Research Program's Climate Impacts Group (CIG) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the National Academies summarize recent climate and climate change research and its implications for planning, policy, and decision making. The report includes detailed chapters on the impacts of climate change on the U.S. climate, human health, water resources, ecosystems, natural hazards, agriculture, and transportation. The report draws from many scientific reports, including those from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), other federal agencies, and U.S. agencies at the state and local levels.

Globally, mobile phone subscriptions are estimated to have nearly reached seven billion at the end of 2012. The estimates for the global total are based on the latest available data from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), although some data are limited or subject to change, because access to some aspects of the mobile industry is not entirely free and open to independent assessment and verification.
