Now that you know how to fix the problem it may be possible that you have multiple copies of the offending driver installed. My suggestion is to perform the following steps in order to see which one is causing the problem. Make sure to backup your registry before making any changes. Go to the Start button, click Control Panel, then click System and Security Click System Click Device Manager Expand Network Adapters Close the window that is open

If it is not available the issue is just with the drivers. However, the drivers don't cause it, it is not related to any firmware settings. You may also have a wireless switch connected to your cards antenna. Try and move the antenna away from the switch or to a different switch on your network and see if the issue remains.

If you see multiple drivers listed, then you have more than one driver installed on your system. If that is the case you need to find out which version of the driver is causing the problem. Then uninstall the version that you don't want. Repeat the steps above.

You should now have a listing of the installed drivers in the Device Manager. If you see one that looks like the one listed in the first part of this tip then that should be the driver causing the problem.

So back to the problem: 1. After you plug in the Windows driver, turn off network adapter for a while to reset the settings. If that does not work, turn off the laptop and then turn it back on again. Once you have turned off the network adapter, you should be able to see where the network adapter is. I believe that the adapter is normally on the side of the laptop. A good way to find the adapter is to use the output of the command promt. Type in 'ipconfig' and the adapter name should be listed. Then go to Device Manager and click Network Adapters and the adapter should be listed in there as well. If it is not listed there, then the settings are probably set incorrectly. Try loading the Windows driver and see if that works with the settings as they are now. 84d34552a1
