Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @username/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@aduyvestyn/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • assertArraysEqual(actual, expected):tests if an array result is equivalent to an expected result. does not work for non-arrays
  • assertEqual(actual, expected): tests if an actual result is equivalent to an expected result
  • assertObjectsEqual(actual, expected): Asserts if both objects have identical keys with identical values. Can handle nested objects using recursion
  • countLetters(str): see .js file
  • countOnly(allItems, itemsToCount): see .js file
  • eqArrays(arr1, arr2): see .js file
  • eqObjects(object1, object2): see .js file
  • findKey(obj,callback): see .js file
  • findKeyByValue(obj,val): see .js file
  • flatten(arr): see .js file
  • letterPositions(sentence): see .js file
  • map(array,callback): see .js file
  • middle(arr): see .js file
  • tail(arr): see .js file
  • takeUntil(array, callback): see .js file
  • without(source, itemsToRemove): see .js file
