Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @aseenontv1027/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@aseenontv1027/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • head(arr): returns the first element in an array
  • tail(arr): returns a new array containing every elements excepts the first element
  • middle(arr): returns the middle element of a given array, as a single array if the given array is of odd numbers, or as an array of 2 if the given array is of even numbers
  • map(arr, callBack): returns a new array processed by the callback function
  • countLetters(str): returns an object containing the number of occurrence of each character
  • countOnly(allItems, itemsToCount): returns an object containing matched characters with occurrence as its value, specified in itemsToCount
  • findKey(obj, callBack): returns the key of the obj if callBack(objkey) is a truthy value
  • findKeyByValue(obj, value): returns the key of the obj given the key value
