Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @atrac/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@atrac/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • head(array): Returns the first element in an array.
  • tail(array): Returns the remaining elements in an array, minus the first element.
  • middle(array): Returns the middle elements in an array (eg. [1,2,3,4] returns [1,2])
  • assertEqual(actual,expected): Returns an assertion statement of whether or not the actual and expected parameters are equal
  • assertArraysEqual(firstArray, secondArray, expected): Returns an assertion statement to confirm whether the two arrays behave with an expected return on the third parameter
  • eqArraysTest(firstArray, secondArray): Returns a true or false value based on whether the two arrays match.
  • without(array, element): Removes an element from the array.
