Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @emily_pascas/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@emily_pascas/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • assertArraysEqual: asserts if Arrays are Equal
  • assertEqual: asserts if primitive data is Equal
  • assertObjectsEqual: asserts if Objects are Equal
  • countLetters: counts the letters in a string
  • countOnly: counts only when requirement is met
  • eqArrays: checks if Arrays are equal
  • eqObjects: checks if Objects are equal
  • findKey: find a key within an object
  • findKeyByValue: finds a key within an object by value
  • head: returns the first index of a string
  • index: All functions listed here within an object
  • letterPositions: returns the index of a letter occurance
  • map: similar to map()
  • middle: returns the middle of a string
  • reverse: reverses a string
  • tail: returns the
  • takeUntil: The function will return a "slice of the array with elements taken from the beginning.
  • without: will remove a value from an string
