Lotide
A mini clone of the Lodash library.
Purpose
BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.
This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.
Usage
Install it:
npm install @jason-wall/lotide
Require it:
const _ = require('@jason-wall/lotide');
Call it:
const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]
Documentation
The following functions are currently implemented:
head(arr): Returns the value of the first element in an array.tail(arr): Returns a new array containing all but the first element of the provided array.middle(arr): Returns a new array containing the middle element(s) of the provided array.countLetters(str): Returns an object containing a sum of each letter in a string.letterPositions(str): Returns an object arrays with positions for of each letter in a string.map(arr,callbackFunc): Returns a modified array based on the instructions of a user callback function.takeUntil(arr,callbackFunc): Push elements to a new array until callback function is satisfied (true).countOnly(arr, approvalObj): Returns an object of items: counts from an array based on an approval object.
