Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @phelanfaubert/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@phelanfaubert/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • assertArraysEqual(...): asserts whether arrays are equal
  • assertEqual(...): asserts whether parameters equal to expectation
  • assertObjectsEqual(...): asserts whether objects are equal
  • countLetters(...): counts how many letters are in a string
  • countOnly(...): counts how many times a key repeats itself
  • eqArrays(...): checks if arrays are equal
  • eqObjects(...): checks if objects are equal
  • findKey(...): finds key corresponding to callback
  • findKeyByValue(...): finds key by value
  • head(...): returns first element of an array
  • letterPositions(...): returns index of a letter
  • map(...): creates a new array dependant on what callback function is asking
  • middle(...): returns middle element/elements of an array
  • tail(...): returns array minus first element
  • takeUntil(...): returns array until whenever callback asks
  • without(...): returns an array without an asked element
