Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @will_frankland/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@will_frankland/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • function1(head): Finds the head/ first item of an array
  • function2(tail): Finds the tail/ last item of an array
  • function3(middle): Finds the middle vaue of an array
  • function4(assertArraysEqual): Establishes whether or not two arrasys are equal
  • function5(assertEqual): -Unused-
  • function6(eqArrays):Determines whether or not two arrays are equal
  • function7(countLetters): Counts the letters in a string input to the function and will total each individual letter
  • function8(countOnly): Counts information input to the function
  • function9(findKey): Locates an object key from input object
  • function10(findKeyBy Value): Locates an objects key by input value
  • function11(map): Utilises an array and a callback in the function
  • function12(takeUntil): Collects items from a provided array until a truthy value is discovered
  • function9(without): Returns an array without the input word
