Description

Astro.js integration to provide tools for creating a CLI application.

Use this Astro.js integration to have tools for building a CLI application with Node.js.

Install

Install the CLI application development integration application on your computer.

npm install -g astro-cli-sr

Within the chosen Astro.js project run the application, with the command:

astro-cli install

Develop

For developing a CLI application, use the src/cli/index.ts file.

npm run dev:cli

Create CLI application.

npm run build:cli

To run the built application.

npm run start:cli

To install the local CLI application on your computer.

npm install -g .

To install the npm CLI application on your computer. For example:

npm install -g astro-cli-sr

Run installed CLI application. For example:

astro-cli

Publish the CLI application to Npm.

npm addUser
npm publish

Modules

To create CLI applications in Astro.js, it is recommended to use the following modules.

• Commander.js: The complete solution for node.js command-line interfaces.
• Inquirer.js: A collection of common interactive command line user interfaces.
• Chalk: Terminal string styling done right.
