this instrument is in excellent condition. this microscope stands approx. 12 1/2 tall by 5 1/2 wide. the brass attachments at the bottom of the upright are all in good shape. the serial number is on the side of the lens hood, just above the lens.

the stage is set up for a positive action lens. the first objective is a 5x 1.25. the second is a 20x. the third is a 50x. the mirror is a rotary disc with a triple headpiece. it pivots on a ball bearing. the stage is in the base of the arm. the arm is attached by a pair of double-ball joints. the base is in the floor. the hole is about 6 inches in diameter. there is a little piece of paper in the hole. a screw is in the top of the hole. the screw is in the part that is on top of the microscope. the microscope is approx. 16 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide. the serial # is 89217. the date is marked bausch & lomb optical co. rochester, n.y. and on the bottom is the mark bausch & lomb optical co. the microscope is in excellent condition. the serial # is 99217. this microscope stands approx. 13 tall by 4 1/4 wide. there are three objectives on the microscope, one marked 16mm, 4mm and 1.9mm. the original mirror and fork is on a pivoting & swivel joint. two stage clips are attached to the platform. the serial # is 98216. this microscope was purchased in 1914 by george hermann iii, m.d., ph., professor of internal medicine at the university of texas medical branch at galveston, when he was a medical student. it comes with a wooden carrying case and accessories. signed: bausch & lomb optical co. 84d34552a1
