This is mostly about learning the public side of github/npm publishing; "boast" as a thought is an extremely thin and direct test harness compared to https://mochajs.org/ or http://jasmine.github.io/ -- perhaps after I've shaped this up, I'll have more appreciation for the big deluxe industry-dominating ones. (That would also be a successful project conclusion!)
