there are two options to get around this. one is using a spell that causes you to turn. examples are wand of turning or fog cloud. the other is to use spells with lasting effects. for example, you can drain a creature's hit points for 20 minutes. or you can cast a spell that causes the enemy to move into an adjacent space. the latter can be used with an area of effect attack.
take a look at the options and choose the one you prefer. remember that you can just repeat this process. pick an object in your dungeon, make it real, and make another copy of it on the other side of the dungeon, at the same place. from one side, you move west, and from the other you move north.
it's a basic wall design, but if you imagine the wall inside the hexagon repeatedly every turn, you get a sort of infinite hexagon. not a circle, because this entire structure would collapse after one minute. by using circles, you can shrink the size to get more turns. there is a similar approach, but that's a whole 'nother article, as the size matters. anyway, from here on out, some walls already have this effect.
think about it: what if you could extend a walking creature or a monster that is chasing you into a wall? now you could use this wall to run into the direction you need, but then your monster/human would get stuck in the wall, make sense?
the last part of this illusion wizard subclass is the most difficult to master. imagine a door. it's a regular doors, but you added an illusion on the inside of the door. now you can make it, for example, bounce. however, from the enemy side, it's a regular door. so, they can escape through the doors without the illusion. 84d34552a1
