Laura B. is recording it all on youtube at her site, Candydoll.TV, which has thousands of followers. Pornography on the Internet has been illegal in Canada since 2009. But earlier this year, a court in Toronto ruled that the so-called fappening of Amanda Todd - a young Canadian woman who took her own life - violated her right to privacy. The decision has sparked calls for an Internet Child Exploitation Act, one that would make it illegal in Canada for people to show kids explicit pictures or videos without consent. The new law also requires Internet service providers and hosting companies to ensure that computers used by subscribers cannot be infected by viruses, spyware or worms. The bill also will require ISPs and Internet companies to prevent material deemed objectionable by police or government from being uploaded. It will also make it illegal for a person to intentionally intercept e-mail, cell-phone calls or computer messages or systems by: (i) hacking, (ii) wiretapping or eavesdropping, (iii) surreptitiously recording computer data or information, or (iv) using computer viruses to damage e-mail, computer systems or other electronic systems. And in a separate bill, it is to expand Canada’s war on drugs by allowing police to search people and their vehicles without warrants in the case of what are called 'controlled substances.' The government hasn't yet finished writing the bill, but it is expected to pass within the next two weeks, according to interim Public Safety Minister Vic Toews. 84d34552a1
