This method takes advantage of the simplicity of text messaging and the relatively limited amount of battery power available in mobile devices. With text message one-time passwords, multiple types of devices, such as cell phones and feature phones, can be used. This is important for us since, for example, half of our customers use feature phones, which have significantly less battery life.

CBT Nuggets new mobile app needed to work regardless of the strength of a network connection. A learners viewing history needed to consistently and reliably sync across both desktop and mobile applications. And both web and mobile applications needed to keep feature-parity to ensure a consistent user experience across devices. If the mobile development team could meet these user requirements, CBT Nuggets believed they could deliver a best-in-class mobile experience to their users.
