Description

Basic CLI to create React component based on this tutorial

How To :

npm install -g cli-react-components

Run

cli-react-components or crc

First, enter your component name :

? Enter component name: myComponent

Second, choose if you want to use scss or css files for design

? Do you want css or scss ? (Use arrow keys)
❯ scss 
  css 

Last, choose the directory where it will create the component (default: src)

? In which folder do you want to create it ? (src): src/components

You can also do it in one line:

crc Hello scss src/components

Result :

A directory named as the component name you've chosen will be created. This directory will contain a .js and a .scss or .css files depending what was your style choice.

Example :

cli-react-components

> myComponent

scss

> src/components

Result : src/components/myComponent/myComponent.js src/components/myComponent/myComponent.scss

Inside of the .js file :

import React, { Component } from 'react';
import './myComponent.scss'

export class myComponent extends Component {

    render() {
        return (
            <h1>myComponent works</h1>
        );
    }
}
