what i liked most about this book was that it was well-written and easy to understand. also, the author did a great job of highlighting the different points in the chapters. the author writes in a clear, concise manner with very good examples to help reinforce the concepts. the book is packed with practice exercises that are small in size and very informative. even though the chapter was quite concise, i was still able to absorb the information and go beyond what the book covered. 


some of my favorite chapters in this book were on the python operating system, and the in the c api. the latter two chapters made me feel i could interact with python on a very practical level. my main reason for picking up this book was to learn the os, and i am extremely glad i picked this book. 


this is one of the most compact python books i have ever read. the book is concise but yet packed with useful material for beginners to master the basics. the book is interesting and the text is pretty easy to read. it also teaches the reader about python's data types, dictionary and list comprehensions, while using the syntax in python.


the second project is to build a simple text-based adventure game called the case of the missing mammoth. this will be a combination of adventure game programming, object-oriented programming, and a set of interactive dialogs. 


part 2 of the book, learning to program with python, shows you how to build two fun applications using python. the first project is to build a simple trivia game called quizalize. this project uses the concepts of object-oriented programming, a game board, and the standard while loop to build a simple trivia game. 84d34552a1
