if youve been watching the final draft community forums, youll know that many people are not happy with the new release. but more on that in a moment. for now, let me focus on some things the app offers that im impressed with. it offers the ability to export to pdf and epub for distribution, and you can also export to ibooks, kindle, and epub for distribution. in my opinion, this gives final draft more reach than any other screenwriting app, and its something that every writer should be able to do. its certainly a very useful feature, but final draft still has problems. it lacks the option to print or screen the pdf or epub, and both are still too large to fit on a mobile phone (although, as noted above, the good news is that you can now export to ibooks, kindle, and epub, so you can print it off and read it on your phone).

the other side of the coin, of course, is final drafts lack of support for pdf bookmarks, which means it doesnt make a great script evaluator, and the program doesnt have a great built-in script wrapper, which is surprising given its size. but if you are working with a co-writer, say a producer or an actor, the new support for the icloud function and the dropbox function makes it possible to have the screenplay or story in final draft, then give the script to the actor or producer, and then go back and fix any problems. and the changes you make are immediately reflected in the icloud version, and you can retrieve it any time later by signing in to your dropbox account.

theres also the ability to undo changes in any version of your screenplay or story, so if youre working with a co-writer and you made some changes to the script and then, for some reason, you want to go back to a previous draft, you can do that. but there are a couple of drawbacks to this feature that im not a huge fan of, and i find its implementation is a bit awkward. 84d34552a1
