deep-promise

Yet another small, simple but powerfull promise lib including concurrent context management.

It has been written when really few js promise libraries was there, and has been heavily used and binded in deepjs core.

It is now extracted from deepjs and avaiable as stand-alone library.

Historicaly, it provides concept that is not in Promise A+ standard, and for few divergent points it could be one day rewritten to include Promise A+ standards.

The main difference, is that deep-promise include concurrent context management pattern that comes from future (the very first name of promise in the 80's) and that is one of the powerful gem hidden in Promise patterns that you should absolutly know.

Under nodejs

You need to have mocha installed globally before launching test.

> npm install -g mocha

Do not forget to install dev-dependencies from 'decompose' folder :

> npm install

then, always in 'decompose' folder simply enter :

> mocha

In the browser

Simply serve ./test folder in you favorite web server then open ./test/index.html.

You could use the provided "gulp web server" by entering :

> gulp serve-test
