hello, i have the same problem as phil (no hash code) and i have tried all the things he mentioned. i am at a complete loss. i have a compaq presario pc 900 and a compaq presario pc 1000. i am trying to reset the bios password for both computers. my pc 1000 was easy to reset. it is set to the f1 key. i did not get the password reset message "press f1 to enter a password" so i tried to press del. it would not work. i tried the f2 key but it would not work. i did get a hash code but it was not the password. i turned the power off and on but it did not work. i tried the hard drive but it still did not work.
