For the larder and the kitchen for the meals of the palace the famous Magras-Dukas produced by Gebhard Dukas (1721-1781) - a famous Orientalist who was also working for the Austrian Landtag. Printing dukas bizans tarihi.

Up until the mid sixteenth century other gunpowder factories were used for the barrels of the cannon. Many of these other factories produced the naval barrels and had their own peculiarities in terms of function (Dukas 1956 : 151148). The process of manufacturing the naval barrels was very similar to the making of firearms: Cast solid bronze as a plate cast in its final shape, reheated and rolled, with the plate provided with a proper welding groove and a rounded barrel. The mold was started by casting the one side of the barrel until the metal was solid and then the bar was backed in a vertical position. The end opposite to the gun's forward end was supported by the thalamus which was again supported from underneath by the two side arms of the mold. These arms were produced separately and the whole armature was supported by two important parts, a wooden base and a strong upper handrail which was placed on the original mold. The cannon was then dipped into a sink containing a chemical solution which hardened the mold and made the barrel solid and permanent.
