The Feist is the most recognized and prestigious event in the sport of team roping and features the finest roping and equine athletes the sport has to offer. This is going to be another year for the record books with a purse of over $650,000 with 125 of the best teams.

Entries will fill up fast and we will once again have to turn away teams-over 40 teams in 2022 did not get in, 10 teams will be placed on the wait list. As part of the entry process to be considered for a spot in the BFI, teams will have to be paid in full, and new contestants will MUST list recent open roping accomplishments. 100% being put toward the purse. The final draw of contestants and roping order will be announced on March 5, 2023. This is a 6 head roping, progressive after 5 and the top 15 will advance to the short round. Roping will start at team 1 and drop down 20 teams for each subsequent round.

Two sponsors per roper will be printed in the day sheets and read by the announcers-Teams and/or individuals may be self-sponsored. Non-chosen teams and those not cleared from the waitlist will have 100% of their fees refunded. All entries are subject to review. Checks and credit cards are accepted.

We invite you to come to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Bob Feist Invitational Team Roping with us this April. 125 of the top teams in the roping industry will back the boxes for a chance at winning the coveted Gist Silversmith BFI buckles. Doors open at 7 a.m. followed by grand entry, the introduction of teams, and the national anthem. The first team will rope at 9 o’clock sharp.
