To echo Dale's comment, above, we regularly consult with the team that works directly on the product we're writing about. They stated that the Mavic Air 2 takes a series of images using the full 48MP sensor and merges them together to create a hyperlapse/timelapse video. The drone is not capturing sections of a scene and stitching them together in one image. Sorry if the article insinuated that was the case. There is only 1 image taken per interval period. The reason for the sections appearing is due to computer hardware limitations or the video player doesn't have the proper codec.
