  • generator-jshint A Yeoman generator for [http://jshint.com/] configuration files. This will only add/overwrite =.jshintrc= in the current directory. You can run it on existing projects to add/overwrite that file. If you cancel (usually =C-c= in your shell), then no =.jshintrc= file will be created. ** Usage Install: #+BEGIN_SRC sh

install yeoman if you haven't already:

npm install -g yo

install the generator:

npm install -g generator-jshint #+END_SRC Run: #+BEGIN_SRC sh yo jshint #+END_SRC You'll be asked a series of questions that are all used to configure [http://jshint.com/]. You can find the [http://jshint.com/docs/options/] on its site, and [https://github.com/jshint/jshint/blob/master/examples/.jshintrc] on GitHub. Issues with this generator can be reported [https://github.com/losingkeys/generator-jshint/issues]. ** Development See [http://yeoman.io/authoring/] for info about developing generators. After cloning this generator, have a look at the "Running the generator" section of that page for info on how to run this to try your changes locally. The command you'll need is =npm link=, but this might change in the future, so have a look at the yeoman docs above if that doesn't work.

If you already have this generator installed globally (like [https://github.com/losingkeys/dotfiles/blob/f4c4dd1d76f0063da769ab41dec4bf0df0c74d2f/install/packages#L76]), you can double check that your local one is preferred by adding something like =throw 'oh no';= to the top of it, then =yo jshint= should fail right away if you've set it up correctly.
