although its true appeal lies in its combination of humble tone, memorable sustain and solid tonal clarity, on its own cimbalom can be a quiet presence in the mix, though the high impact of its percussive ride cymbal make it a powerful and tangible instrument. self-described as a hybrid between a harp and a cimbalom, the harp tire is a special edition of the grand cimbalom that delivers the same full, deep sound, but has a unique, textural characteristic that makes it the perfect addition to modern and vintage vocal productions.it adds depth and presence to your mix, and will really bring out the sizzle and the soul in your music.


both the standard cimbalom and the harp tire were sampled at an even level of dynamics to ensure each performance and vehicle could be sampled at their appropriate ranges, ie, the percussive cimbalom was sampled at higher volume, while the sustainer cimbalom was used at a quieter volume. its not always the case that all the samples in a library are of the same level, which is why its always good to go back and sample anything that sounds interesting at a different level. on top of that, to make sure that the cimbalom samples were appropriately tailored for their intended application we took the extra time to program the controls on each preset to what we felt were their optimum settings. the parameters include volume, shape, attack and sustain, along with the inclusion of a buffering knob for extra sustain on top of this to ensure that you get the right amount of sustain on your pedals. the cimbalom projects sound the same as it would in reality, with similar tuning, so its a lot less effort to get to that authentic tone.  84d34552a1
