grunt-nexus-release v0.2.0
grunt-nexus-release
release zip artifacts to a Nexus server
Getting Started
This plugin requires Grunt ~0.4.5
If you haven't used Grunt before, be sure to check out the Getting Started guide, as it explains how to create a Gruntfile as well as install and use Grunt plugins. Once you're familiar with that process, you may install this plugin with this command:
npm install grunt-nexus-release --save-devOnce the plugin has been installed, it may be enabled inside your Gruntfile with this line of JavaScript:
grunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-nexus-release');##Acknowledgement This plugin is a copy of the grunt-maven-tasks plugin. It has been amended to more closely follow the cadence of the Java maven-release-plugin. This plugin operatates as follows:
- Check that there are no uncommitted changes
- Remove the -SNAPSHOT suffix from the version number.
- Commit the version number changes, tag the code, then push.
- Release the constructed artifact to Nexus.
- Up the version number (patch level) and restore the -SNAPSHOT suffix.
- Commit the version number changes, then push.
The "nexus_release" task
Overview
In your project's Gruntfile, add a section named nexus_release to the data object passed into grunt.initConfig().
grunt.initConfig({
nexus_release: {
options: {
// Task-specific options go here.
},
release: {
// Target-specific file lists and/or options go here.
},
},
});This task packages and releases an artifact to a maven repository. It will update the version number in the package.json file to the next development version, and, if this is a git project, it will commit and tag the release.
The version number will have the patch number incremented.
