I just realized that what I've been waiting for is now released and I have a 2cd2332 which I just upgraded to firmware V5.17 from 5.13. And this set of firmware is supposed to work out of the box on the new DS-2CD6412FWD.

I hope it will work as it should because I have problems with other customers who bought this set that it stopped working in the latest firmware. I contacted Hikvision support for the DSLRs and they told me to send the cameras back to them. Maybe they are realizing that its not working. Maybe we get a version that works with the new firmware.

All tests with firmware V5.14 worked fine except for the 640x480 switching to 720p. Audio and picture sync is automatic on the S-DCU and the S-DCU is streaming 720p but the S-DCU only sends through h.264 and no H.265. It may depend on the H.264 encoder. The S-DCU does not send to the T2C 12830 card no matter what resolution is set on the other side.

, Hikvision firmware 5.1 download The 2cd2332 firmware V5.17 at 640x480 does not work at all. I can only force 480x240 with the internal cable and this I suspect will be fixed with firmware 5.21 probably. All other resolutions work fine. So, I will have to send it back to Hikvision.

I had a hard time figuring out how to compile the firmware but Ive now succeeded, here is what happened. Note that you need to have a compiled firmware on the latest Hikvision release of the firmware. The hikvision website provides me this HIKCGI2.0 V3.
