The menu is enormous (both literally and figuratively), populated largely with an extensive wine and cocktail list highlighting Italian specialties like various red wine varietals, sangrias, and an entire section of negronis (a step up from most Disney cocktail offerings). For food, expect to find moderate to upscale Italian staples, not dissimilar from the pasta and entre menus at Via Napoli or Tutto Italia, priced similarly to Tutto Italia (read: on the higher end of the acceptable price range for Italian food).


After the Theater, we were ushered upstairs to what could only be described as a gallery (or maybe its more like a museum); a place for everything from vintage posters to merchandise showcasing the history of Italian cinema (like the posters hanging on the wall, hailing from the 50s to the 90s). For the most part, while nothing out of the ordinary, the collection is pretty charming, and I would have liked to spend more time exploring it. “The Best Years of Our Lives” comes to mind, as any film with an actor named Harve Presnell will.


If you can’t make it over to the beachside Galleria Palladium in 2019, you can catch the Italian Film Festival from September 4th to 16th at AMC Century City in Los Angeles (510 Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Westwood, near UCLA). Look for screenings as Italian film festivals like the Venice and Sofia, in addition to all the other American premieres at the Palladium. Stay tuned.


A really great place that you should visit, dine, and stay at, if you head over to the beachside resort of Portofino Bay Resort (25700 Overseas Hwy, Kissimmee, Florida) during the Orlando Film Festival next year. The Festival runs from October 29th to November 3rd and will feature more than 50 Italian films from around the world, as well as a selection of National and International films with English subtitles. Select screenings will also take place at the “World of Disney” at the Epcot Theater.
