The tomb was guarded by a massive Great Wall of solid gold, until one day when the gate was lost. Although no one knows how it happened, the walls vanished and the tomb was discovered by an explorer, believing that there were treasures beyond that could be the riches of the gods. It remained undiscovered until seventeen years later when a young Indiana Jones, travelling with his father, uncovers the tomb and pokes his nose inside. His father is killed in the ensuing fight, and Indiana finds a mysterious tablet that could be the key to the Unknown World. The next day, while on a journey to retrieve the tablet, Indiana ends up in London, and he and his friends (Sophia, Kurtz and Short Round) go to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities to recover the tablet. There, Indiana manages to steal the last page of the tablet before it is recovered, but in the process he brings a vial of poison onto the tablet that has the power to alter the tablet's functioning. The effects of the poison only get worse the longer Indiana holds onto the tablet, and to make things more complicated, he has to keep from revealing the cure to the tablet's effects even to Kurtz. After enough time passing, the poison overtakes Kurtz and he reveals the cure to Indiana. As Kurtz promises Indiana a burial plot after he dies, the tablet and an ancient sextant (equipped with the cure) are taken by Indiana and his friends. They also get a "rough draft" of the map to the Unknown World from the tablet. 


Soon after, the group encounters the Von Trapp family in Austria, and they join Indiana on his journey. The gang travels west from Vienna to Munich, then to Rome, and finally to Egypt, where they find out that the tomb of the First Emperor had been sealed off by the pyramids. Following the outline of the tablet's map, Indiana and his friends follow clues that lead them into a tunnel that ends up underwater. There, they meet the evil temple guardian Thoth, who tries to halt Indiana and his friends, and they also encounter one of his henchmen called Shank. Although Indiana is a bit more sanguine than most of the others, they manage to take the temple guardian and his henchman by surprise and free the other three temple guardians in the group. 84d34552a1
