Lotide
A mini clone of the Lodash library.
Purpose
BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.
This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.
Usage
Install it:
npm install @JyotiKhabra/lotide
Require it:
const _ = require('@JyotiKhabra/lotide');
Call it:
const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]
Documentation
The following functions are currently implemented:
function1(assertArraysEqual)
: Asserts if the actual and expected arrays are equal.function2(assertEqual)
: Asserts if actual and expected values are equal.function3(assertObjectsEqual)
: Asserts if two objects are equal.function4(countLetters)
: Takes a sentence (as a string) and then returns a count of each of the letters in the sentence.function5(countOnly)
: Takes a given an array and an object and will return an object containing counts of everything that the input object listed.function6(eqArrays)
: Will take in two arrays and declares thy are of equal value.function7(eqObjects)
: Will take in two objects and declares either true or false based on if they are a perfect match.function8(findKeyByValue)
: Will take in and object and a value, to return first key that matches value given. If no key with the given value is found wil return undefined.function9(findKeys)
: Will take in an object and a callback. It should scan the object and return the first key for which the callback returns a truthy value. If no key is found, then it should return undefined.function10(head)
: Will return the first item in the array.function11(letterPositions)
: Will return all the indices (zero-based positions) in the string where each character is found.function12(map)
: Will take in two arguments: an array to map & a callback function. Then will return a new array based on the results of the callback function.function13(middle)
: Will take in an array and return the middle-most element(s) of the given array.function14(tail)
: Will return the "tail" of an array: everything except for the first item (head) of the provided array.function15(takeUntil)
: Will return a "slice of the array with elements taken from the beginning." It should keep going until the callback/predicate returns a truthy value.function16(without)
: Will take in a source array and a itemsToRemove array. It returns a new array with only those elements from source that are not present in the itemsToRemove array. Keywords
