Why are you installing CMOS De-Animator? You can access the BIOS with a Password. but maybe you dont remember the Password? Maybe you forgot it? Perhaps, it could even be that you have a new laptop and you need to access the BIOS to configure new settings or the like? Having a Password is an excellent way to be able to access the BIOS without a Password, but if for any reason you do not remember the Password it can potentially be a problem. If you do not have a Password, what are your options?

CMOS De-Animator can be used as a Password killer or Password Remover. CMOS De-Animator will offer two options. One is to use this Password remover or Password killer to erase the CMOS password and return the BIOS to factory defaults. The other option is to Erase the CMOS password. For some laptops, this password will not be stored in the CMOS and all you will need to do is remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes and replace it to get your BIOS into factory defaults.

All you need to do is run the tool as administrator (right click -> Run as administrator) and click the Proceed button followed by restarting the computer. When your computer boots up, you should see a CMOS checksum error where it allows you to access the BIOS without a Password. CMOS De-Animator works by invalidating the checksum of your systems CMOS memory which resets all settings to default and clears any stored BIOS Passwords upon reboot.

If you need to access your BIOS without a Password with EZ-CMOS, Plug a USB flash drive in your computer. The new USB device will appear on the desktop screen of the computer. Select the USB device and right click on it. Go to "Format" and select "Single Partition". Format the USB flash drive to NTFS Mount the formatted USB flash drive on the computer Make sure the USB flash drive has no label Open a command prompt window At the command prompt window, navigate to the folder you mounted the USB flash drive. Type the command ez-cmos Enter the CMOS Password when prompted. 84d34552a1
