krakkar: a css framework

Hey there! I am Lohith Bollineni.

I am somebody who loves design and (software) development. So you probably know why I am working on this project. As a computer science student, I have worked on a few web development projects. While doing that, I learned that I hate using CSS frameworks.

Most of the time, I saw myself writing the styles using plain CSS from scratch. From a design perspective, that is awesome but from a developer perspective, that is a sin.

In order to be more efficient, I created some basic libraries that I would re-use often in my projects. Soon I had a good number of libraries that looked enough to build a framework.

And that led me to building this css framework, krakkar.

Currently, the project is in beta stage. Soon (hopefully) when it looks good enough for everybody to use, it will be launched officially.

why krakkar?

There are flexible frameworks (like Bootstrap), utility-first frameworks (like Tailwind CSS), concise frameworks (like Pure CSS) templates to build websites easily (like Wordpress). krakkar is built to bring the best of all worlds in one place. The framework is built keeping the following 4 principles in mind: flexible, utility-first, concise, keen-design.

flexible

designed to be adaptable and responsive, allowing the layouts and designs created with it to adjust and work well on a variety of devices and screen sizes

utility-first

designed to allow developers to easily apply specific styles to elements on the page by simply adding the appropriate utility class to the element

concise

designed to be small and lightweight, with a focus on simplicity and efficiency

keen-design

designed to be sharp and intense from a designer's approach, with various themes and templates
