so even though the original version of the kratos may be slightly dated and lack some of the features that kratos 2 maximizer now has, its still a solid product. that doesnt mean its not worth a try though. kratos is a very well balanced limiter. not too aggressive, not too soft and not too much in the way of a tone changing effect. and even though you could use this for mastering, its a great plug-in for mixing as well. a compressor is a great effect to have in a mix, and a limiter is a great tool to have in a mix.

major updates for kratos 2 a major update for the pro version of the kratos 2 maximizer now offers 4x oversampling, latency compensation toggle, and an adaptive mode for attack and release. also new is the inclusion of the set of limiter cheat sheet presets for mastering engineers.

kratos 2 features high-quality sounding limiters; 4x oversampling; latency compensation toggle; adaptive mode for attack and release; dithering section; minimum cutoff frequency and maximum bandwidth; auto setup; user-defined bandwidth; latency compensation; user-defined attack and release; user-defined threshold; user-defined attack and release; user-defined threshold

however, you can also choose the options that best fit your specific limiter type. for example, if you have a version of the limiter with different max and min parameters then you can change the values of those options as well.

it doesnt mean that theyre not useful. if you limit the signal to +0db you should be able to use them to process the signal as an audio plug-in. it can do anything you want it to do, including if it does not limit the signal to 0 db you can still use it with the signal at the actual peak of the signals spectrum. i do not care what they claim, if the limiter cannot handle isp it should not be in the list. in the end, i think we should have a separate plug-in with a label "non isp limiter" and a label "true peak limiter" and a label "limited-max" labeled as "limited-peak". i would include all kinds of limters that dont handle isp but only want to make the signal as loud as possible. 84d34552a1
