LIRI

LIRI is like iPhone's SIRI. However, while SIRI is a Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface, LIRI is a Language Interpretation and Recognition Interface. LIRI is a command line node app that takes in parameters and gives you back data.

Prerequisites

• Node JS
• node-spotify-api NPM module
• twitter NPM Module

How To Run LIRI

• Navigate to the folder where liri.js lives

Usage: node liri.js cmd arg
where cmd is one of:

• spotify-this-song : Look up a song (args) on spotify and display info about it
• movie-this : Look up a movie (args) on omdb and display info about it
• my-tweets : Look up your last 20 tweets on Twitter and display them

• do-what-it-says : Randomly execute one of the commands with some arbitrary argument

  args is everything following cmd and need not be quoted

  Examples

   $ node liri.js movie-this the shining
   Title of the movie:                     The Shining
   Year the movie came out:                1980
   IMDB Rating of the movie:               8.4
   Rotten Tomatoes Rating of the movie:    The Shining
   Country where the movie was produced:   UK, USA
   Language of the movie:                  English
   Plot of the movie:                      A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.
   Actors in the movie:                    Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, Scatman Crothers

Logging

A record of all commands and output is kept in log.txt in the same directory as liri.js.
