lockrr

A place to store password-adjacent information of importance.

Prerequisites

To enable syncing between devices, Enclave uses the bare runtime for peer-to-peer synchronization (no servers involved!). Additionally, you can optionally use spass, a password generator that doesn’t store passwords but relies on a master password.

Install the prerequisites globally:

npm i -g bare
npm i -g spass

Installation

Install lockrr globally using npm:

npm i -g lockrr

Usage

set

To store information associated with a domain, use the set command as follows:

> lockrr set google.com:email ryan.example@gmail.com
> lockrr set google.com:note "personal email"

Note: Tie your keys to a domain (e.g., google.com). Avoid storing actual passwords in lockrr.

password

To generate a password and retrieve all stored information for a domain, use the password command:

> lockrr-pw google.com
Master password:
emoji confirmation: πŸ’£ πŸ’΅ πŸ‘° πŸ’΅ πŸ‘°
Domain: google.com
email: ryan.example@gmail.com
note: personal email
βœ“ password copied to clipboard

What Happens:

  1. Master Password Prompt: lockrr will prompt you for a master password. Use a highly secure, complex password for all your accounts.
  2. Password Generation: Internally, SuperGenPass is used to create a unique password for each domain.
  3. Emoji Confirmation: A visual emoji confirmation helps verify that the master password you entered is consistent.
  4. Stored Information Displayed: All associated information for the domain is displayed for your reference.
  5. Clipboard Copy: The generated password is copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into the relevant website for login or password setup.

Enjoy secure and organized password management with lockrr!
