If you have an original copy of the MAME Plus 6000, then you can replace most of the electronics with the Raspberry Pi and RetroPie. Find the Raspberry Pi and insert the SD card it came on. You will need to make sure you have an ethernet cable running from the Pi to your router. Now power on the Raspberry Pi and turn on RetroPie. You will be prompted to setup retroarch and roms, and you can type Y to use the defaults. This only takes a minute if you use the defaults. You should see a screensaver to enter your username, and type in pi. Then type password raspberry. Hit Enter to Exit. You should have a console you can play on.

If you choose to use an old PC instead, I recommend going with a PC that is 2 years old or more. You will need to find a different ROM file and Scraper to download the roms. Now you need to find the roms you wish to play. Playstation? Find the correct Romset to download. Well the new ones are not yet released. They will be available soon, or you can use advancedmame roms or the advancedmame 2016 v0.1 ROMs, or just use any ROM set you have, from the awesome RetroPie ROM sets. I used the Launchbox Ultimate, Outrun roms, and FinalBurn Alpha roms for the Genesis, Sega CD, and Game Gear ROMS respectively.

If there is a space between folders, you can download ROMs from these folders as well. If there is no space, it will download from the first folder in the list. You can ignore the message it gives you when first downloading games saying that you will download Games in 2-6 hours, it will play once you are done (which will take up hours) downloading and picking up the systems for your collection.
