Intro

Modular Aggregation for Resources of the Bible

Project MARBLE is initiative of the United Bible Societies to systematically aggregate extra-Biblical resources and link them with Bible translations via mappings to source materials.

This Repo

This repository is an effort to standardize and document the methods for defining and distributing the data, and at this point only represents a DRAFT of standardization.

Overview

Project MARBLE consists of two key elements, Bible Translation Mapping and Resource Bundles.

Bible Translation Mapping Bundles

Bible Translation Mappings provide word and phrase level mapping from a Bible translation back to the original source text.

Resource Bundles contain a collection of related extra-biblical resource entries, all linked back to the source text.
