But how does it play? What about the many different types of devices you can use the Player Framework to support, and how does it handle non-Pioneer devices that we know are coming? Look at the example in Figure 4 and see how the Internet Explorer7 best-in-class browser is set up to access other websites.
Simply browse to a web page, and you can listen to it with the browser using the Plex Media Player for_Chromecast . Figure 5 demonstrates the unique strengths of the Plex Media Player. You can use any device on which the Plex app is available. Some devices have only local media available, but the Plex app can play the video using other devices, using any hardware you can imagine. The Plex Media Player for_Chromecast example demonstrates a couple of cool features. You can choose to play from a specific media device, allowing you to quickly control playback from either your TV or a mobile device without reaching the full app experience. The Plex Media Player for_Chromecast also allows the use of Miracast streaming so you can control the playback using your wireless mouse as well as your HDTV. One of the most confusing features of the Chromecast is that it doesn't support 3D or 3D content, like Netflix. We saw this as a good opportunity to demonstrate how to stream 3D video using the Media Player. Our Plex player supports multiple input and output devices including WiFi, remote control using the Plex Remote, Miracast streaming, Chromecast streaming, online playback, and AirPlay to the Apple TV and even a TV box you already own. Figure 6 shows you the player is easy to use, and gives you a lot of options depending on how you prefer to play videos or listen to music. 84d34552a1
