mocha-expect v1.0.3
Mocha Expect
Install
npm i mocha-expect --save-dev
PLEASE NOTE
In order to use this library you MUST be running your tests via a mocha command line, not a Node.js process. Running your tests in any other way will result in errors like "mocha.beforeEach is not a function".
Usage (Contrived Example)
const {describe, it, expect, assert} = require('mocha-expect');
/////////////////////////////
// THIS WILL PASS
/////////////////////////////
describe("My Thing", () => {
it("Can do the thing I want", () => {
expect(1); // Expect a single assertion
assert.ok(true);
});
});
/////////////////////////////
// THIS WILL FAIL
/////////////////////////////
describe("My Thing", () => {
it("Can do the thing I want", () => {
expect(2); // Expect two assertions
// We only run one assertion so this
// test will fail
assert.ok(true);
});
});
