We also use SOLIDWORKS quite a bit for data exports and material additions. With Solidworks, it is possible to flatten a range of data, but you will have to save the content as a separate file. However, usually only a small portion of the part needs to be saved at once, so this process isn't normally a large burden. As is often the case, we will include a time for just saving data to a file because it is manual and requires concentration.

To provide an accurate reading of how Solidworks performs as a model grows and shrinks from one process to the next, we start each simulation at a fully grown model with the entire hard drive checked. As the simulation runs, we monitor the change in performance as the process changes from one process to the next. By using CIM, we can quickly switch between each process and evaluate the effect that each has on the overall performance of our simulation.

Because the Solidworks simulator is in a smaller overall memory footprint as our main models, it is very memory efficient. As a result, our simulated model only requires 3-5 gigs of RAM and does not need to be shared amongst each other or the Windows 7 host system. Because of this, we can test with a wide range of different RAM Sizes. The average RAMsizeof Solidworks users is 64 gigs, but it is not unheard of for users to have as large as or even larger than 200 gigs. Using this, we will have a variety of RAM sizes to test from 1GB to 64GB.

One of the key features of Solidworks is the fact that it provides you with the ability to control the topology of your model with various types of surfaces andcurves. Depending on your needs, it can be very beneficial to be able to control the topology of your surface using Surface Builders and NURBS Curves. 84d34552a1
