You are required to register your choice of language course for at least one year. If you have changed your mind, this must be done by the deadline for registering. If you have left Oxford before finishing your degree, we require that you register with us before you leave. You can do this either by contacting the Faculty of English as a foreign undergraduate or via the Campus drop-in centre. If you are currently registered for your first year, and you are undecided about which language to take next year, you must do so by the deadline for registering. If you wish to be considered for the optional Spoken English course, you must register by the deadline for registering.


If you have registered on time, we will ask you to complete an online application form and provide a short statement of your interest in teaching English. If you have not registered on time, you will be asked to do so before your interview. All applications, on time or late, are considered. If you would like to apply for an ESOL course at Oxford, you will need to request a course code from the Admissions Service at Oxford (admissions@cas.ox.ac.uk). This cannot be done until your application is in the University.


If you are taking any of the English, Creative Writing or Computing courses at Emory, you will be required to sit an assessment in the subject immediately before the second year of the course. You will need to register for the assessment via the course manager's website for the course you plan to take. This assessment is designed to test your knowledge of the course and therefore should not be seen as a preparation for the core English course itself. If you take this before the core, you will not be able to retake the assessment until the second year of the course. 84d34552a1
