before modeling, all continuous variables were standardized to follow a normal distribution. in logistic regression, the primary predictor (the variable whose estimated coefficient is highest in magnitude and whose coefficient is statistically significant) is known as the reference category and the intercept in the equation is interpreted as the mean response in the reference category. this model is significant only if the predictors included in the model are associated with the outcome. the level of significance in the model was 0.05, and r^2 < iwas 0.15. r^2 was considered a good predictive model if it ranged from 0.05 to 0.

anthropogenic influences on global precipitation are of great interest in climate change studies. the applicability of general circulation models (gcms) is still in question and requires sufficient verification. the most recognizable example of this is the widely reported local reduction in precipitation over the central asian and southwest pacific regions. this phenomenon is expected to affect 20–30% of the world’s surface. this study aims to understand the inter-annual variations in precipitation and assess the magnitude of anthropogenic precipitation change in pakistan, a subtropical country, in the period of 1979–2029.

we apply a similar methodology for estimating anthropogenic influence on rainfall over the northern part of pakistan. the north west frontier province (nwfp) is located on a high plateau with the indus river as the main waterway. on the other hand, the nearby areas of the hunza and karakorum valleys are located in mountain ranges. the punjab and baluchistan province falls in the intermediate region. the population density in the high mountains is still negligible. 84d34552a1
