first of all, i would like to say that i have not been contacted by any such person and i have not had any such experience. i have received messages from users asking me for my password which i have replied and asked them to delete the message. since i have not replied to any such messages, i guess that they were from some user who has set up a fake profile using my name and picture. if you are a victim of such a scam, please do not trust any message asking you for your password, and contact us here as soon as possible. 


the hacker may have already cloned your profile and messaged your friends with instructions to make fake accounts in your name. delete all your existing accounts and change your password and security question settings. 


it's not a hacking attack. it's a social engineering scam. scammers will ask you to click on links that will install malicious software on your computer. it's a very common scam. they say they need your password. they won't give you the chance to change your password.
