At first we thought it was rock, but we soon found that out. For the first six months we thought it was a statue of some kind, but by the second year we know it must be a real disease. This Object is so putrid, so horrible, that even the part of the King that controls the animals is terrified. I mean, the most disgusting disease in the history of the world, and its got a monster living inside. Its so putrid, so terrifying, that even the people who are working in the King's Mines are terrified of it.


So, we were paid to make this Object. But you know, its not that easy to make a horrid disease into a terrible thing. You know, we tried, but its not that simple. And then we found out it could be controlled. We tried to make it our master. But it just turned our worst nightmare into a fine, warm night with lovely stars in the sky. So, we tried to make it our friend. But it just pretended we were a bit of excrement.


Anyone sees in an instant that the contention that a foreign body, inserted two hours before by the appellant in such a manner that it protruded from the vagina and remained in that position during the two days of the voyage without any leakage, was putrid or decomposed, defies the imagination and must be regarded as fallacious. Ledger-SMB has a 'virtue' of being simple -- I can understand it easily. SQL-Ledger has a 'virtue' of being old. SQL-Ledger's code is vermin-infested.  Could Ledger-SMB have done a better job? Sure. But SQL-Ledger's a classic example of programmers'refactoring' code that already works. I'm sure that their goal is to make SQL-Ledger as nice and clean as possible.
