react-native-custom-tabs-shim
Wrapper for react-native-custom-tabs that allows applinks to be opened in the native app.
It checks if a given url is supported by any extra apps compared to a baseline (http://example.com) and, if so, opens it directly instead.
Getting started
$ npm install react-native-custom-tabs-shim --save

Manual installation
iOS
- In XCode, in the project navigator, right click
Libraries➜Add Files to [your project's name] - Go to
node_modules➜react-native-custom-tabs-shimand addRNCustomTabsShim.xcodeproj - In XCode, in the project navigator, select your project. Add
libRNCustomTabsShim.ato your project'sBuild Phases➜Link Binary With Libraries - Run your project (
Cmd+R)<
Android
- Open up
android/app/src/main/java/[...]/MainApplication.java
- Add
import com.reactlibrary.RNCustomTabsShimPackage;to the imports at the top of the file - Add
new RNCustomTabsShimPackage()to the list returned by thegetPackages()method
- Append the following lines to
android/settings.gradle:include ':react-native-custom-tabs-shim' project(':react-native-custom-tabs-shim').projectDir = new File(rootProject.projectDir, '../node_modules/react-native-custom-tabs-shim/android') - Insert the following lines inside the dependencies block in
android/app/build.gradle:compile project(':react-native-custom-tabs-shim')
