Reading Half Marathon will meander through the streets of Reading on Sunday (April 2), beginning at 10.15am. A wide range of running abilities, including both professionals and novices, will take part in the event which will start and end at the Select Car Leasing stadium. A shorter run, the Green Park Challenge, will run alongside the 13-mile half marathon and will be on offer for those who prefer a more relaxing run.

A wide range of running abilities, including both professionals and novices, will take part in the event which will start and end at the Select Car Leasing stadium. A shorter run, the Green Park Challenge, will run alongside the 13-mile half marathon and will be on offer for those who prefer a more relaxing run.

However, for the duration of the race, a number of road closures will be in force to protect runners and to allow the race to run unhindered. Several high-profile roads will remain closed for the duration of the event but most will have reopened by the early afternoon.

Some roads will only be closed for a short while but others may be in force for the duration of the race. Longwater Avenue and Brook Drive will close at 7am and remain closed until 3pm whilst Hoops Way, and Shooters Way will also close at 7am but will remain closed until 4pm - Northern Way will also be closed until 4pm but will close at 6am.
