Redefined gameplay, massive destruction, and brutal combat are at your disposal. You’ll be using all of the new weapons you’ve looted, of course, as well as a full screen aiming system. You’ll use some of the awesome high-tech vehicles you find along the way, too. The big bad-ass of this game is that you’ll be able to demolish walls, blow up cars, and wreck the hell out of everything – before climbing inside to find out what’s inside. The way destructible environments work is a bit different, too. A lot of environments will explode in multi-level explosions of fire and objects. But you’ll also be able to destroy a lot of other environments, and those can be useful or not, depending on what kind of a hero you are. You can even bulldoze cars and trucks in the way! New weapons and all-new, over-the-top graphics make Red Faction 2 the coolest PlayStation 2 game you’ve ever played. The only thing better would be if you could launch a 40 year napalm strike on the enemy mother ships in hyperspace.


The controls for Red Faction II are a bit wonky and the characters movement feels cheap at times. While the graphics are good, the environments can get a bit repetitive. Buy Red Faction II if you are an Xbox and PlayStation fan though because it offers a fresh take on an old classic.


Red Faction II is, on the surface, a multiplayer FPS. However, the most compelling aspect of this game isn't the fact that you're playing with other people online. Sure, you can play online co-op, but it's the side-scrolling co-op that really makes this game shine. 84d34552a1
